Chuando Tan was born on March 3, 1966, in Toa Payoh, Singapore. He started modeling at 15 through Carrie Models, working with brands like Tangs and Club21. He modeled in Milan. He released a Mandopop album in 1993. He co-founded the photography studio ChuanDo & Frey in 2006 and has since shot campaigns for Janet Jackson, Rita Ora, and dozens of international publications.

In July 2017, a Chinese news site featured Chuando Tan's Instagram. The photos showed a man with the face and physique of someone in their mid-twenties. His bio said he was 50.

The internet collectively lost its mind.

The New York Post, Daily Mail, South China Morning Post, and dozens of outlets picked up the story. Comment sections filled with demands for his birth certificate, his passport, his skincare routine, and proof that he was not, in fact, a vampire.

The Routine

Tan has shared his approach in multiple interviews: he sleeps by 11 PM, avoids sugar and processed food, swims regularly, and stays out of the sun. He has admitted to trying Botox once around his eyes, disliked it, and never did it again.

He does not drink alcohol. He does not smoke. He credits his appearance primarily to genetics and consistency.
