Pearl Jam bassist Jeff Ament grew up in Big Sandy, Montana, a farm town of about 600 people. As a kid he built his own skate ramp there. His nonprofit has since funded more than 40 skateparks for rural and Native communities, most of them in Montana. He still turns up at the openings. At one in September 2026, he tossed stickers to the crowd.
