Bryan Cranston threw a full pizza onto a real family's roof in one unscripted take for Breaking Bad - and fans have been copying him ever since. The Padilla family in Albuquerque started getting 400+ visitors a day hurling pizzas at their actual home. In 2017 they built a 6-foot wrought-iron fence. Even creator Vince Gilligan begged fans to stop - calling it "nothing original, or funny, or cool."

The 501st Legion, Darth Vader's own troopers in Star Wars, is named after a real fan club. Two South Carolina fans started the club in 1997 for people who wear their own stormtrooper armor, and Star Wars borrowed its name with Lucasfilm's approval. The club's volunteers still suit up for free at parades, charity walks and visits to kids.
