Each Friends lead earns $20 million a year from reruns, more than two decades after the show ended. Aniston, Cox, Kudrow, LeBlanc, Perry, and Schwimmer negotiated a 2% stake in syndication revenue - a deal Kudrow confirmed in 2026. A guest who played "Fun Bobby" in just two episodes still gets about $2,000 a year.

Creed Bratton played a character on The Office named after himself. Off screen, he was the real lead guitarist of The Grass Roots. He toured with the band from 1967 to 1969. The band had two gold records. "Let's Live for Today" hit No. 8. "Midnight Confessions" was their biggest hit, at No. 5. His character's real name was later revealed as William Schneider, his actual birth name. He's still touring today, at 83.

Mayberry never existed. It was invented for The Andy Griffith Show. Andy Griffith was born in Mount Airy, North Carolina, its real-life basis. Every September the town throws Mayberry Days: a parade, replica squad cars, and a contest to whistle the theme song. One year the crowd hit 90,000, in a town of 10,600 people. Mount Airy still carries the tune every year.
